Description: Hal Emmerich doing research for Philantropy... or something he shouldn't be doing... Inkpen 0.1 - 0.8, fixed in Photoshop Elements 5.0.
History: FINALLY FINISHED! The sketch took a bit more than a week to finish, the inking took two weeks and I spent a whole day coloring it. Why it took such a long time? Because all the tecchie-stuff had to be drawed, and it was boring as hell I tell you (If I ever think about drawing tecchie-stuff again, please slap me) and my dad kept looking at it during every step of the process and not saying anything. And the sketch was on my drawing-table (YES, I have one and I am so proud!) for a whole three weeks so practially everyone stared at it. It's the first picture I have shown/let anyone else see since In the Shadows, so everyone has complimented me for improving. Personally I don't know what to think. I'm happy with it, mostly because the changes I did to my usual style didn't turn out horrible. I changed the eyes so they were a bit smaller and more realistic, as well with a bit more realistic-ish hair and a decent-looking nose. The shirt was pure hell to draw. And, although I suppose no one will notice it, I totally stole Dr. Gregory House's wardrobe when I did this pic. AND I KNOW THE POSTERS ARE EMPTY, BUT I COULDN'T COME UP WITH A DECENT IDEA FOR THEM NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRIED. So please use your own imagination. >.> As usual I used textures and other stuff to fix the coloring, and I somehow managed to screw up a heck of a lot of the stuff. Whatever. I'm off to... do something else than drawing this pic. Maybe watching House M.D., or reading fanfics, or whatever...
Utterly useless trivia that doesn't even matter; the unreadable text I used for Hal's magazine is from Yamitami's fanfiction "Next Saturday". I know I have said this once before, but I'm saying again anyways - if you haven't read it already, GO DO IT!

This really is some of your best work yet! I love the bright colors, cheerful enough without being overdone. The lighting is consistent and your linework is really smooth and controlled. You must have been studying proportions and it shows; the size of his shoulders and the positioning of his hands and arms is very believable. I can't believe how much you've improved in such a short amount of time, I'm jealous!!
